DIRECTORS:

The ICONIC Joseph Alexander
LIFESTYLE DIRECTOR
Joseph Alexander is a force in New York City’s creative landscape — Ballet & Theater Director of TheEdwardMorganBallet, fashion visionary, roller-skate icon, celebrity stylist, and designer. With more than 25 years in fashion, dance, retail, and television, he fuses artistry, performance, and brand strategy into every project.
His career began in the ’90s, assisting legendary choreographer Edward Morgan — known for bringing high fashion and choreography to American TV screens with ClubMTV. That era saw dancers wearing looks from Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, and Nicole Miller live on national television. In 2023, Morgan choreographed Latin Ignition at New York Fashion Week — produced by Emilio Estefan Jr. at the Guggenheim Museum — starring Alexander.
In fashion, Alexander rose as a stylist, consultant, merchandiser, and designer. Today, he leads retail teams, curates standout collections, and works with a clientele that spans celebrities, royalty, and everyday fashion lovers.
As Executive Director of TheEdwardMorganBallet, he performs under the artistic direction of his partner, Edward Morgan — a former Joffrey principal and the first Black director of Joffrey II. Together, they’ve brought ballet to iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Florence Gould Hall, and international stages like UNESCO in Paris. They also launched groundbreaking platforms like the Bryant Park Dance Festival and Ballet for the Homeless at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
They pioneered ROLLING ART — a hybrid of ballet, street, and club choreography performed on roller skates. Alexander is a fixture in NYC’s roller-skating culture and has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Post, ABC, WPIX 11, and Belgium’s BE NY. His skating has traveled globally — from Tokyo and Paris to Brazil and Berlin — and he’s also featured in the photo art book SEPT. 2020 NYC.
As a performer and MC, he’s lit up events like Vinyl Nights at Hudson Yards, Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace at Rockefeller Center, DiscOasis, and Dreamland Roller Disco. He’s gone viral skating through Times Square during a Charli XCX performance and has popped up on the social feeds of Nile Rodgers, Michael Rapaport, Sherri Shepherd, and Mary J. Blige — all without having a social media account himself.
Whether onstage, on wheels, or behind the scenes, Joseph Alexander leads with vision, style, and presence. His energy is magnetic. His work speaks volumes. And his style? Unmistakable.

The VISIONARY Edward Morgan
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Edward Morgan was a principal of the original Joffrey Ballet NYC, the first black director of Joffrey II, and choreographer of the internationally successful fashion dance television show ClubMTV, where he showcased and launched designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, and Nicole Miller, to name a few.
Morgan has choreographed numerous fashion shows in New York City including The Danny Kaye Playhouse BUILD Awards & FashionLaunch, Vidal Sassoon, Suzy Chapstick, Dance Explosion Entertainment Company with his ClubMTV Dancers, Miss J. Alexander and The Palladium, featured on Andy Warhol’s Fifteen Minutes, The Rainbow Room, The Roxy, The Tunnel, District 36 & Providence with Ebonee Excell, and Tavern On The Green as featured in The New York Times.
Now choreographing his own company TheEdwardMorganBallet with Joseph Alexander as the company’s star dancer.
Morgan choreographed New York Fashion Week’s Latin Ignition produced by Emilio Estefan Jr., presented at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, starring Joseph Alexander. He also choreographed New York Fashion Week’s Presage Magazine Emerging Visionaries Fashion Show, also starring Alexander.
TheEdwardMorganBallet has performed in Carnegie Hall, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Florence Gould Hall at the French Institute, and created the original Bryant Park Dance Festival and Ballet For The Homeless at The Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
